I can climb on the bandwagon too

actually it might be a good way to sum up the year… here goes

1. What did you do in 2006 that you’d never done before?
man where do I start? Had surgery, asked my dh to move out, started running my own business, killed a huntsman, drove to Adelaide with no co-driver,bought a car, cleaned a toilet (ok laugh go on but somehow it was always someone elses job)!
2. Did you keep your new year’s resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
not sure what they were – probably to lose weight so yes done that …..probably also to get more organised – well a long way to go but am improving
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
no one really close
4. Did anyone close to you die?
5.What countries did you visit?
6. What would you like to have in 2007 that you lacked in 2006?
boys who are toilet trained
7. What dates from 2006 remain etched in your memory and why?
no one date really….its been a big year and so many things happened no one stands out
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Learning to be independent and ironically learnign it is ok to ask for help sometimes too
9. What was your biggest failure?
5yr old boy still not toilet trained….need I say more?
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?

I had some major gall bladder dramas but the little trouble maker is gone now!

11. What was the best thing you bought?
freedom – in the shape of a laptop and a car – I can go anywhere I want and take my work with me
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
My Mum and my Sister….I didn’t tell them what was going on with me and steve as I thought they wouldnt’ approve of my actions – I was so wrong. They have supported me emotionally and cheered me on each step of the way.
13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?
A bunch of nasty scrapbookers who anonomously bagged people on blogs
and my own frustration and inability to deal with it without yelling sometimes
14. Where did most of your money go?

mortgage, car, computer, internet connection, xmas pressies for the kids……….oh ok and a chunk went to various scrapbooking supply stores

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
xmas with my family
16. What song will always remind you of 2006?
hmmm I wish I was a punk rocker
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:a) happier or sadder? b) thinner or fatter? c) richer or poorer?
happier, thinner, umm possibly more in debt but have more assets too – about the same or better off – certainly with a better outlook!
18. What do you wish you’d done more of?
just playing with the kids and walking to kinder – we got a bit slack and drove a lot
19. What do you wish you’d done less of?
yelling – oh and cleaning little boys undies (refer above)
20. How will you be spending Christmas?
spent it at mum’s and sue’s in Adelaide – it was sooo good

actually i didn’t watch tv – well ok a little bit but less than once a week – but i did get gilmore girls seasons 1-4 on dvd and watched that!
22. What was the best book you read?
um didn’t read many this year……….the secret dreamworld of a shopaholic that i got for xmas gave me a good laugh
23. What was your greatest musical discovery of 2006?
ummm not sure here – had a mostly musicless year due ot kids wanting to talk to me in the car and lack of stereo oh and all the cds were pretty much steves so didn’t have any til fairly recently
24. What did you want and get?
a new chance to grab life by the throat and live it
25. What did you want and not get?
a new house

umm actually the fact that i tossed out most of my old black clothes and bought some new ones with actual colours!
28. What kept you sane?
my computer and the friends that live inside it
29. What political issue stirred you the most?

I have actually been very self obsessed this year so while a few things did stir me up I’m not sure I could name them – the lack of tv also meant the lack of news in many respects til i started to read it online
30. Who was the best new person you met?

ok thinking thinking – i didn’t meet too many people this year….but probably Katie – my little brothers girlfriend – ok I only met her briefly but I saw what she has down for my little bro – ie put the smileback in his eyes!
